We take off at 11.13 lt for Lanzarote, a bit reluctant to leave Madeira where
we have spent quite pleasant days. Maria writes: the plane climb rapidly to
embrace the sun to cancel the regret to leave Madeira that sweetly remains
at the horizon to reassemble its beautiful forms. Alfredo, with his usual
hate for volcanos, forces us to continue our flight to Sevilla instead of
stopping in Lanzarote. Another stop in Rabat, then a wonderful flight to Sevilla
admiring a colourful sunset and then overflying the lighted Spanish cities
in the night.

In Sevilla is terribly hot, but the monument we visit are so beautiful that
we support the 40 degrees Celsius. The cathedral and the Alcazar are incredible
masterpieces where we spend most of our time. We take off at 20.21 lt for
Menorca, perfectly assisted by the airport authority. We want to fly by night
as it is the St Lawrence night and we hope to see falling stars. Actually,
we will see four stars and one is so bright that Alfredo thinks that a plane
has exploded near us. We land in Menorca at 23.42 lt. When we reach the hotel
at one o'clock we find a nice meal prepared for us. We have another pleasant
two days rest in Menorca visiting bays by boat and archeological sites.
